The first delivery of vaccines will be arriving at the practice from the 11th September.

Some flu clinics have been scheduled from the 11th until the end of September and further sessions will be scheduled after that based on our flu vaccine delivery schedule.

As you can appreciate due to the COVID-19 pandemic the practice will have to consider social distancing measures.  We are therefore asking that patients:

  • Attend at the time of their appointment - no earlier.   If patients are late then we would suggest patients contact the surgery and reschedule.
  • Only come for their flu vaccination – this will help in patients leaving the practice premises before the next patient arrives and coming into contact with patients who are in the waiting area or at the reception desk therefore following social distancing where we can.
  • To not arrive in lots of layers.  To be ready to be vaccinated so patients can leave more quickly before the next patient arrives.  We appreciate that that might be a little difficult as we move into the colder months.

We are still awaiting further guidance from the local CCG on how the vaccination programme will be delivered to the extra cohort of patients (Year 7 age school children and the over 50s).  We will update you once the practice has further information to share.
