Normal opening hours in General Practice are defined contractually as 8.00 am to 6.30 pm, excluding weekends and bank holidays. This is when you can expect to book and receive routine General Practice care including routine and urgent appointments.
Also, during normal hours should we be fully booked we may be able to offer you an alternative appointment with the extended hours service during normal hours. - See the extended hours section for details.
Out of Hours is defined as all times after 6.30 pm and before 8.00 am on weekdays, over weekends and during bank holidays.
Extended Hours is a hybrid of the two designed to increase access to routine care are convenient times for patients. You can pre-book access to routine General Practice services, normally only available during normal hours, during some of the out of hours period.
